Global City Index reveals London 's brand is still the strongest of any city in the world.
But its rating has slipped this year , putting the capital in danger in danger of being overhauled by one its traditional rivals, or the rising conurbations of the Gulf and Asia .
The index ranked 100 major cities around the world, from Abu Dhabi to Zurich .
The onus will be on the Mayor and the capital’s authorities to make sure that London does not lose that coveted top slot in the global city premier league.
