Tsunami Warning Canceled As Damage is Revealed

Seismologists warn that the southern region of the San Andreas Fault is overdue for The Big One - a massive 8.0 earthquake that could devastate California .
The San Francisco Bay Area was placed under a tsunami warning after the quake at around 11 a.m. local time, sparking mass evacuations and long lines of traffic as people fled for higher ground.
The warning has since been lifted and BART and MUNI have resumed services.
Seismologist Chris Goldfinger said this type of earthquake had been unlikely to cause a tsunami.
At least 5.3 million people in California were under a tsunami warning after the 7.0 earthquake.

More than 10,000 customers in Humboldt County , California , are currently without power following Thursday 's earthquake.
