The Vancouver Canadians are the Toronto Blue Jays ’ high-A affiliate, the second rung on what’s now a four -step, full-season minor league system.
Major League Baseball gave the minors a complete rethink coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic in late 2020 .
MLB dropped 43 farm teams from the system and told the 120 that remained — including the C's — that they had to reach certain minimums with their stadiums and other amenities.
The C's will open the 2025 regular season on the road against the Tri-City Dust Devils on April 4 .
The grass for the field is being grown off-site by a Fraser Valley company.
Installation will begin in March .
