Lethbridge police investigating pedestrian collision involving three children

Three children suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle at a marked crosswalk in Lethbridge . The incident occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of 13th Avenue and 23rd Street N. EMS took the children to Chinook Regional Hospital and all three were subsequently transferred to Calgary for further treatment. Police say the children — aged 14, 7 and 5 years old — were walking along the crosswalk when they were hit by the vehicle. The driver stopped and remained on scene. They added charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing..
