A House aide to House Speaker Mike Johnson advised colleagues against subpoenaing a former White House aide.
The aide cited concerns that a subpoena could expose sexually explicit texts sent to Cassidy Hutchinson , a person familiar with the effort says.
The Washington Post has not seen the purported texts nor identified who sent them or whether Hutchinson responded.
