Ultra-massive white dwarf reveals 19 pulsation modes, a new record

The discovery, presented on the arXiv preprint server, makes the richest pulsating white dwarf.
Located 165.5 light years away, the white dwarf has a mass of about 1.11 solar masses and a temperature of 12,415 K.
