Car sales fall to '90s recession levels

The number of newly registered passenger cars stabilised at just over 100,000 cars per year between 1997 and 2019 .
The only exception was 2009 , when new registrations dipped to around 90,000 as the Finnish economy grappled with the financial crisis.
