CO₂ battery project awarded to Triveni Turbine and Energy Dome

India ’s NTPC (previously the National Thermal Power Corporation ) has launched its first 160 megawatt hours (MWh) CO battery energy storage project, to be developed by Triveni Turbine and its energy partner Energy Dome .
The adoption of CO battery technology also supports India 's “Make in India ” and “ Atmanirbhar ” (self-sufficiency) policies.
