The rear wheel drive model with the standard 58 kWh battery can go a middling 220 miles between charges, but rear Dr. Ionic Fives with the larger 77.4 kWh battery have the longest range of all at 303.5 miles .

The all-wheel drive version, which only comes with the big battery, is rated at 256 miles .

Hyundai 's Ionic 5 can go from a 10% state of charge to 80% in a lickety split 18 minutes when hooked to a charger that pumps out more than 250 kilowatts of joules.

The car's front chairs are super comfortable, and the driver's seat even has a deployable leg rest.

Overall, this vehicle is similarly spacious to a Ford Mustang Mach E or Volkswagen ID 4 .

The Ionic 5 is one of the best new cars I've driven in quite a while.

It looks great inside and out, it offers loads of features, it drives well, plus it's super comfortable.
