A job ad for Y Combinator startup Firecrawl seeks to hire an AI agent for $15K a year | TechCrunch

71% Informative
An ad from the Y Combinator job board for a startup called Firecrawl went viral last week .
The ad wasn't for a human, but it was for an AI agent to research trending models and build sample apps to showcase the company’s product.
The founders say the ad was a PR stunt, but they still want to hire the best AI agent.
“What we imagine happening is that every one of our real employees is going to become highly leveraged with AI . And it’s not a clear distinction,” Peffer said.
Firecrawl has raised about $1.7 million so far, and they expect that this first AI agent hire won’t be their last.
