Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek says the city is studying various options to soften the blow of potential tariffs from the U.S. She said the city would look at procuring local materials for big municipal projects and finding ways to relieve local businesses of the pain that could be inflicted by duties.

A recent report by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce ranked Calgary second among cities most vulnerable to potential tariffs.
