Astronaut Don Pettit was challenged by the public to try and float himself into a pair of pants.

Pettit demonstrated his skills in a video posted on X on Sunday .

He quickly grabbed the waistband , pulled them up, fastened the button and zipper and yelled: 'Ta da!' Pettit began his third ISS mission in September , arriving at the space station alongside Russian cosmonauts Alexey Ovchinin and Ivan Vagner .

NASA has found that without Earth 's gravity creating resistance against the human body, astronauts lose about one percent to 1.5 percent of their bone mineral density per month, and their muscles deteriorate rapidly as well. To counteract this, astronauts on the ISS are required to work out for at least two hours per day. But even when astronauts stick to this intense regimen, they often return to Earth much weaker than they were when they left. It can take more than a month to regain their strength once they are back in full- Earth gravity..
