B.C. eyes Nova Scotia bill as it looks to tackle interprovincial trade barriers

70% Informative
Nova Scotia introduced a bill meant to reduce interprovincial trade barriers.
B.C. Premier David Eby said he's looking at proposing something similar in the near future.
Eby says he's pushing for all jurisdictions to institute the mutual recognition approach to trade.
Expert says if every province tables similar legislation, trade barriers could be eliminated.
Greater Vancouver Board of Trade CEO Bridgitte Anderson said there are various levels of complexity that need to be worked out.
Anderson said some barriers may take months or years to dismantle, others are low-hanging fruit that can be quickly plucked.
She believes Trump ’s tariff threats have finally succeeded in fostering the political will to do that.
