Eddy Ng and David Wong bought the pub in 2002 but Ng came up with only $380,000 .

Wong and his wife, Fanny Ching , own about 60 per cent of the pub.

Ng's widow asked Wong to buy Ng’s shares but they couldn’t agree on a price.

The liquidation and sale is a “remedy of last resort” but it was the best way to allow the petitioners to realize their share.

“This is part of the plan for the two conflicting sides to get back to the table” to agree on a price for the shares. And he said he will keep the business going with bank financing, if necessary, and he emphasized the business is financially solid and has plans to remain open for years .
