Jaythan Gilder , 32 , of Houston , Texas , allegedly robbed a Tiffany & Co. jewelry store in a mall in Orlando , Florida , on Feb. 26 .
He allegedly told store staff he was negotiating a sale on behalf of a player on the Orlando Magic basketball team.
The merchandise included two pairs of diamond earrings and a diamond ring worth $ 160,000 and $ 609,500 each.
