NASA Reveals New Problem With Boeing's SLS Rocket

A new report from NASA 's Office of the Inspector General reveals some troubling news about Boeing 's aerospace manufacturing.

Boeing is having major problems right now with the Space Launch System rocket, which is the foundation of NASA 's Artemis moon landing program.

The SLS Block 1B is currently seven years behind schedule, and the project cost is predicted to reach $5.7 billion before it ultimately launches for the first time.

The heat shield tiles on Flight 5's vehicle are now twice as strong thanks to a new ablative protection layer underneath.

SpaceX is aiming to recover the Super Heavy using the launchpad's robotic arms, often called the chopsticks.

Most of the structure is aluminium that will be protected by a fabric thermal protection system.
