Death toll from Kentucky flooding rises to 11 as search and rescue operations continue

Democratic Governor Andy Beshear said Monday that at least 11 people have been killed by the flooding and that the death toll could still rise.

More than 1,000 rescues have been made across the state with 175 National Guard troops on the ground.

President Donald Trump approved an emergency declaration for Kentucky on Sunday , authorizing FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security to coordinate the disaster relief response.
