Greenland voters throw weight behind slow approach to independence, Demokraatit party wins election

Demokraatit party favoring gradual approach to independence from Denmark achieved 29.9% of the vote.

Naleraq , the party seeking the fastest breakup with Denmark , finished second with 24.5% .

The two current governing parties, Inuit Ataqatigiit and Siumut , are in third and fourth position.
